Getting Started with Plan View AR

Welcome to Plan View AR! This guide will help you get started with our platform and make the most of the AR visualization features.

What is Plan View AR?

Plan View AR is a platform that allows you to visualize 3D models in augmented reality. You can upload your models, create custom image trackers, and share them with others.

Basic Steps to Get Started

Create an account - Sign up for a Plan View AR account to get started. You can choose from our Free, Student, Pro, or Enterprise plans.

Upload your first model - Once logged in, you can upload your first 3D model and image tracker.

View in AR - Use our mobile app or web interface to view your model in augmented reality.

Share with others - Share your AR visualizations with colleagues, clients, or friends.

Uploading 3D Models

Supported File Formats

Plan View AR supports the following file formats for 3D models:

  • GLB - Recommended format for best performance

Step-by-Step Upload Guide

Prepare your model - Ensure your model is in GLB format and optimized for mobile viewing.

Prepare your image tracker - Create a high-contrast image that will serve as your AR tracker (JPG or PNG format).

Upload process - Log in to your account, click the "+" button in the bottom right corner of the home page.

Fill in details - Enter a name for your model, upload your 3D model file and image tracker.

Complete upload - Click "Upload" and wait for the process to complete.

Tips for Successful Uploads

  • Use square images for your trackers for best results
  • Image trackers should have good contrast and distinct features
  • Keep your model sizes reasonable for better performance

Viewing Your Current Plan

You can view your current subscription plan and details from your account page:

Go to Account - Click on your username in the sidebar and select "Account" (or click the Account option in the sidebar).

View subscription details - Your current plan and usage information will be displayed at the top of the account page.

Upgrading Your Plan

Go to Pricing - Navigate to the Pricing page from the top menu.

Select a new plan - Click the "Subscribe Now" button on your desired plan.

Complete payment - Enter your payment details and confirm your subscription upgrade.

Cancelling Your Subscription

Go to Account - Navigate to your account page.

Cancel subscription - Click the "Cancel Subscription" button in the subscription section.

Confirm cancellation - Confirm your decision to cancel. Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan.

Note: When you cancel a paid subscription, you'll lose access to features beyond the Free plan, and any uploads exceeding the Free plan limit will be removed.

Managing Your Account

Updating Profile Information

Go to Account - Navigate to your account page from the sidebar.

Edit profile - Update your name and email in the Profile Information section.

Save changes - Click "Update Profile" to save your changes.

Changing Your Password

Go to Account - Navigate to your account page.

Change password - Enter your current password and your new password in the Change Password section.

Confirm and save - Confirm your new password and click "Update Password".

Deleting Your Account

Go to Account - Navigate to your account page.

Delete account - Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete My Account".

Confirm deletion - Type "DELETE" to confirm and permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent. All your models, uploads, and subscription information will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Troubleshooting

Solutions to common issues you might encounter while using Plan View AR.

Upload Issues

Problem: Model upload fails

Solution: Check that your model is in GLB format and under the size limit (50MB). Ensure your image is in JPG or PNG format and under 3MB.

Problem: Cannot upload more models

Solution: You may have reached your plan's upload limit. Check your current plan on the account page and consider upgrading if needed.

Viewing Issues

Problem: AR model doesn't appear

Solution: Ensure your image tracker has good lighting and contrast. Try holding your device at different distances from the tracker.

Problem: Model appears distorted

Solution: Check that your model was properly optimized for AR viewing before uploading. Consider re-exporting your model with correct scaling.

Account Issues

Problem: Cannot log in

Solution: Verify your email and password. If you've forgotten your password, use the password reset option on the login page.

Problem: Payment failed

Solution: Check that your payment information is current and your card has sufficient funds. If problems persist, contact your bank.
